Microblading in Dallas has been an up and coming eyebrow trend! Not only is it gaining interest and popularity; it is also saving women hours of time and money on eyebrow filling products that have to be applied daily. Can you imagine never having to fill your brows in?? With microblading, this has been made possible!
Since microblading in Forth Worth and Dallas is so new, there are a lot of questions out there concerning how the procedure works and what is to be expected out of it. In this blog, I want to explore these frequently asked questions
What is Microblading?
Microblading in Dallas may be new but it has been around for quite some time in Europe. It is a semi-permanent eyebrow procedure that is performed by using tiny micro blades. These micro blades are dipped in pigment and then used to create small, hair-like strokes on your brows. These strokes mimic your natural hair growth patterns. By doing so, it creates flawless looking brows that are thicker and more defined.

How long does it last?
Microblading has been known to last from 1-3 years depending on how well the client takes care of her brows. Things like being in the sun and frequent scrubbing can make the client’s brows fade quicker. It also greatly depends on the skin type and how well the skin holds pigment. Our microblading specialists will evaluate each person’s skin type as well as consult each client on what brow shape will look best on their facial structure. We use several different types of pigments curated for specific skin types and needs. All of our pigments are high quality and we guarantee that once our clients have had the procedure and following touch-up, the brows will not need another touch up for atleast 1 year.
Is the touch-up necessary?
We highly recommend that the client come back 4-6 weeks after the procedure has been done so that we can perform a touch-up. The touch-up is absolutely necessary because the brows will lose approximately 40% of it’s color and parts of the pigment may not have taken well in the brows. With the touch-up, we will fill in the areas that faded and add lines anywhere needed. It will only take about an hour with numbing time. You should not need another touch-up for atleast 1 year once this has been done.
How long is the healing process?
Immediately after the procedure, we will give the client an ointment to put on the brows. Every 2 days, the client will need to gently rinse the brows and add more of this ointment. After 8 days of this process, we ask the client to continue to avoid touching the brows for an additional week. Other salons doing microblading in Dallas and Ft Worth may have different processes, but this is what we have found to work best for our clients. Brows will take 4-6 weeks in total to heal. Once they have healed, we highly recommend a touch-up.
Does it hurt?
Our number one priority, aside from making sure our clients leave 100% happy with their brows, is to be sure that the whole process is easy and painless. Our goal is to remove any stress or anxiety from our clients. Before we begin the procedure, we will apply a topical anesthetic to the brows to ease any pain. We also have a second numbing gel that we apply after we have started the procedure and are half way done to ensure that the pain stays at a very minimum.
